Fav Flicks

Note to people with Littles who want safe, happy things for them to watch...My Neighbor Totoro is adorable.  Cutest kid's movie by Hayao Miyazaki.  Even my jaded nine year old loves it.  We have a deal where they're only allowed a very limited amount of "screen time" a week, and they most often pick this.

Another beloved favorite is Charlie Chaplin's The Gold Rush.  The boys have been into Buster Keaton, Laurel & Hardy and Abbott & Costello for ages, but just discovered Charlie Chaplin movies this winter.

Since they first saw it, three years ago, Swallows And Amazons captivated them completely.  We read the book together last summer and they were delighted that the movie followed it so closely.

And last but not least, since it premieres in a month and a half, our own Pasghetti Western will surely be a watched over and over, even though they know it inside and out...because they laugh even harder remembering what went on BEHIND the scenes.
