Myra & Jim's Wedding

Most beautiful day. Our family farm was the perfect setting for it. Magical. Every single bit home-made, simple and elegant. More pictures at: http://www.flickr.com/photos/48439883@N00/sets/72157620076487316/

Summer, so far

BUSY. Rat-race. So much to do, so little time before snow flies again. The Kid's end-of-school picnic was last week, Myra's wedding looms closer every second, and of course the usual round of birthday parties, dance lessons, house projects, etc, etc, etc. All three of our cars suddenly died, at once. Well, mine is still semi-drivable, so Justin is carefully using it for work until we can get at least two repaired. Eh. As you can see from the next post, our chicks arrived today. They'll be in a cardboard box for a week or two, but then we've got to re-do our coop, and do some serious dog-proofing, 'cause Captain thinks these little chicken nuggets look mighty tasty. Jen and I took all three of the kiddies to the new aquatic center yesterday to check it out. The Baby screamed and clung to me, pulling my swimsuit down several times in his clawing to get away from the water. "Home!" he sobbed, "Go home!"...until we left, and then he wanted to go back to the pool. Big E and Av loved it though, the waterslides and sprinklers were lots of fun for those two daredevils. Anyway, it's a cold, darkish, clammy day, my boys are still sleeping...How they are snoozing through the loud peeping that fills the house, I'm not sure! Hope everyone is enjoying their summer so far!

Chicks!

Our 24 baby chicks arrived this morning, all cheeping loudly in their airmail box!
